Why I Don’t Ask for Information Before a Mediumship Reading

One of the first things people notice when booking a reading with me is that I don’t ask for information beforehand.

No names.

No dates.

No stories.

Sometimes people find that surprising.

Surely a little background would help?

In reality, I believe it does the opposite.

Letting Spirit Lead

For me, evidential mediumship begins with allowing Spirit to take the lead.

Rather than looking for clues, I allow the communicator to build their own identity through evidence.

That evidence may include:

• personality
• memories
• occupations
• relationships
• hobbies
• character
• shared experiences

These details help the sitter recognise who is communicating without me needing prior knowledge.

Why This Matters

This approach keeps the reading clear.

It protects the integrity of the communication.

Most importantly, it allows you to experience the evidence as it unfolds naturally.

Can I Choose Who Comes Through?

This is another common question.

The simple answer is no.

Spirit chooses who is best placed to communicate at that time.

Sometimes it is exactly who you hoped for.

Sometimes someone unexpected steps forward first.

I’ve learned to trust that there is usually a reason.

Mediumship Is Never About Certainty

People sometimes expect every detail to make immediate sense.

Most do.

Occasionally something doesn’t.

That doesn’t necessarily make it wrong.

Sometimes understanding arrives later.

Sometimes it belongs to another family member.

The important thing is remaining open without forcing meaning.

My Responsibility

My role isn’t to convince anyone.

It’s to provide the strongest evidence I can while holding a calm, respectful space for communication to unfold naturally.

Every reading is unique.

Every communicator is unique.

And every connection is treated with care.
